BROMSGROVE Sporting aim to end kick-off an important week by booking their place in the final of the Worcestershire Urn final.

The Rouslers go to Littleton tomorrow night (7.45pm ko) in the semi-final hoping to build on their nine-match winning streak.

That's followed-up on Saturday with a home clash in the Midlands Football League Division One against Lichfield City.

With the club still involved in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup, Sporting are still in the hunt for three pieces of silverware.

After winning the Les James Challenge Cup, manager Paul Smith is keen for his side to keep add to their trophy cabinet.

He said: "The Worcestershire Senior Urn is a respected competition and one we'd like to win.

"With Highgate and Alvechurch in the other semi-final, it would make for a great final if we can get there.

"But with Lichfield at home on Saturday, this is a huge week for us."

Sporting saw their Midlands Division One clash at Southam called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

They were top of the Midlands Division One but could be knocked off the summit if Coventry United defeated derby rivals Coventry Copsewood on Tuesday night.

Smith added: "It was frustrating to see our game called off because we're in great form and you don't like to see games postponed.

"But I am very happy where we are, the lads are working really hard and I hope that their efforts come to something because they really deserve something.

"With so many games coming up, it's important to try and shuffle the squad around and the lads understand that.

"Sam Wills, Kyle Turner and others have had spells out of the team but they know they'll get their chance and I will expect them to play well."

Sporting have won the last nine games in all competitions to close the gap on United but they face a Lichfield side on Saturday who have not tasted defeat in six matches.
