CRICKET: Droitwich under-16s started their league campaign with an eight run victory at Studley.
Batting first, Spa got off to a steady start as Leon Payne (18) and Lewis Keen (29) put on 42 for the first wicket.
After Payne was out, the innings was then dominated by George Taylor who hammered a quick-fire 61 in just ten overs.
Studley’s run chase began well with Charlie Bass in fine form as he took Studley within 12 runs of victory with one over left with a classy 74 not out But a tight final over from Josh Payne ensured Spa's victory.
