MORE than a thousand homes and businesses were affected by a power outage this afternoon after a mains electricity failure.
A power outage affected 1,300 properties in the Bromsgrove area earlier today (Thursday, April 11).
Worcestershire County Council Highways said traffic lights at the Strand and Market Street went out.

On the Traffic Bromsgrove Facebook page, there was a report that traffic lights at Parkside lost power, and shops at Bromsgrove retail park were closed due to the brief power outage.
The county council confirmed just before 3.30pm that the situation was "resolved," with power and signals back on.
