A road has reopened following a fire in Bromsgrove.
West Mercia Police said officers assisted the fire service at a property fire on Worcester Road.
The road was closed between the Ye Olde Black Cross pub and the Worcester Road Junction to Sanders Road.
Drivers were being urged to find an alternative route.
In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after 1.30pm, a spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Police in Bromsgrove are currently in assisting the fire service with a residential fire on the Worcester Road.
“Drivers are asked to find an alternative route.”
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service added: “Multiple calls received to a fire at a restaurant in Worcester Road, Bromsgrove. Hereford and Worcester Fire Bromsgrove, Hereford and Worcester Fire Droitwich and Hereford and Worcester Fire Redditch attended.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire in the kitchen.”
