A family from Bromsgrove got the experience of a lifetime when they were invited onto a huge Saturday night show.

The Sharratt family were one of 411 audience members from charities and fundraisers across the UK who were asked to join Ant and Dec on Saturday Night Takeaway.

The family set up Libby Mae's Little Angels in 2013 in memory of baby Libby who died at just two weeks old due to a congenital heart condition.

The charity has raised more than £650,000 to support the Neonatal Units throughout the Midlands and has provided comfy chairs, duvets, incubators and memory boxes to those who need them.

Mum Charlotte Sharratt, aged 44, from Catshill, said: "From the second we found out to the moment we went to the studio to pick up our wristbands, it was just an amazing experience.

"Ant and Dec were walking around and we even got to meet Stephen Mulhern. The atmosphere was just incredible.

"We never imagined we would experience something like this and to be recognised for Libby Mae's Little Angels means the world to us. The charity not only helps families at a time when they need it most but it offers support that we wish we'd had and helps keep Libby's memory alive."

During the show, Ant and Dec revealed that they had handpicked the audience and everyone had won a Takeaway Getaway prize sponsored by TUI.

The prize includes a seven-night all-inclusive holiday for up to four people with the family being able to choose from more than 40 destinations and 100 hotels.

Ms Sharratt, who was joined by her husband Richard and their nine-year-old son Riley, had no idea the audience was made up of fellow fundraisers and later found out that her sister Sarah had nominated them for the show.

She said: "Richard knew about it all along, but I was completely shocked. My sister had nominated us a couple of years ago but we couldn't make the show, so to finally get the chance to sit in the audience was incredible.

"The experience was made even more emotional as we were surrounded by other fundraisers who had been on very similar journeys to us as a family.

"We've had a look at the getaway prize and we can choose from so many holidays from five-star hotels to Caribbean cruises. Riley is so excited and wants to go to Ibiza, but I think we're leaning more towards the Caribbean.

"We've also got four tickets so we've invited my sister along to say thank you for all her support. You only get one chance at a prize like this so we want to make the most of it."
