BUSINESSES have welcomed a brand new app launched in Bromsgrove to help boost trade.

Destination Bromsgrove is described as a "cutting edge" app which aims to "revolutionize the shopping experience for residents and visitors."

It's designed to make it easier for people to discover the hidden gems and incredible offerings of Bromsgrove's businesses.

Key features of the app include a business directory, where people can Browse a comprehensive list of local establishments from boutique shops to cafes and an interactive map.

People can access exclusive discounts, promotions, and special offers from businesses and stay up to date with events.

People can also share experiences and read reviews from fellow shoppers to make informed choices about where to shop and dine.

Lee Duckers, who runs Duckers Pet Supplies at Bromsgrove Market, welcomed the new app and said: "There's a lot of people talking about it in Bromsgrove.

"I think it will work. I've put special offers on there".

Sharon Hodgkisson, manager of Hays Travel, said: "Everything about Bromsgrove is on that app. It works well. The more people using it, the better it will be for everybody".

Terry Bacon, owner of the Little Ale House on Worcester Street, has also welcomed the app and said: "I think it will do well".

Alan Nolan, the manager director of BDP, the company behind the app, said: “There is also a strong environmental message through the app as we encourage local residents to shop local and reduce their carbon footprint.”

Destination Bromsgrove is available for download on both iOS and Android devices.
