THE air ambulance was sent out to join a large presence of emergency services at an incident in Droitwich. 

Police cars and two ambulances attended the road at around 4pm on September 26. 

The Midlands Air Ambulance was also sent out landing on land near Blake Avenue. 

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We received a call around 3.50pm this afternoon with a request for police assistance in a domestic incident. 

"Officers attended Thames Drive and one man, in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted GBH."

An eyewitness said an ambulance left the scene on blue lights at around 4.20pm. 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of an assault at a property in Waveney Road, Droitwich at 3.50pm on Tuesday afternoon. 

"An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene. 

"Thankfully, the patient, a woman was not as seriously hurt as first feared. 

"She was assessed at the scene before being taken by land ambulance to hospital for further assessment."
