POLICE are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a serious crash on the M42 near Bromsgrove.
The smash involved a blue Seat Leon, which caught fire, and a blue Volkswagen Golf in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 23).
It happened at around 12.15am between on the westbound carriageway between junction 2 for Hopwood and junction 1 for Bromsgrove.
Three people were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment.
One person remains in a critical but stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and driving without insurance. He has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the collision, or either of the vehicles in the minutes before it.
