A DRIVER made a "lucky escape" after a car crashed into a bridge in Bromsgrove.
Police were called out to the collision which happened on Monday afternoon (August 7) on Kidderminster Road.
Officers said the occupant was able to make their own way to hospital following the collision.
The road was closed whilst the vehicle was recovered.
In a post on the West Mercia Roads Police page, officers said: "Thank you to the large number of motorists who were patient whilst we had to close the Kidderminster Road in Bromsgrove this afternoon for a short time.
"We were in attendance at a single vehicle collision where a car had collided with a bridge, and we needed to close the road to safely recover the vehicle.
"The occupant of the vehicle had a lucky escape and was able to make their own way to hospital".
