RESIDENTS are being warned about a suspected scammer who is asking people for money in Barnt Green.
Police have received reports of a man going to elderly people’s homes and asking for money to get to hospital as a family member is sick.
A post on Neighbourhood Matters states: “Description of male - white, 50 years old, tall, medium build, not clean shaven and was wearing lightish clothing.
“Please do not open the door before you are sure you know who it is. Do not allow strangers into your home or give them money.
“Ring police if you feel afraid or threatened.
“Any info please contact police quoting log 00393_I_07062023 or ring crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
