BROMSGROVE GP practices are gearing up to deliver Covid booster jabs to those that are eligible this autumn.

In the coming months, patients living in the area will be contacted by their GP surgery if they are eligible for a Covid vaccine and flu vaccine.

A spokesperson for Bromsgrove & District Primary Care Network said: “We’ve been proud to work in partnership with the team at the Artrix to ensure every member of our community can receive their Covid-19 vaccination in a local primary care setting.

“This autumn, patients eligible for the Covid-19 booster will also be eligible for the flu jab—so our GP practices are preparing to deliver both these vaccines to their patients.

“These vaccines may be given at the same time, or they may happen separately, depending on when we receive our deliveries—but patients can rest assured that we’ll be offering a comprehensive vaccination programme for everyone who needs it this autumn, and can help us to manage this and other services by waiting to be contacted by their local practice.”

The Artrix in Bromsgrove, which was a flagship Covid vaccination centre, is now closed, with SW Healthcare, which carried out the vaccines at the venue, thanking staff for their hard work.

Claire Goodall, CEO at SW Healthcare said: “We’re so very proud of the work that’s been achieved at the Artrix, the Three Counties Showground, and St Peter’s Baptist Church since the start of 2020, and we want to say an enormous thank you to the teams who’ve played a part in making these sites such an incredible success throughout

“We’ve been working hand-in-hand with our colleagues across GP practices and Primary Care Networks from the beginning—and we’ll continue to support them through our vaccine outreach team, with roving vaccination vans and pop-ups operating across the county throughout the winter.”
