SOUTH Bromsgrove High School has been commended for its gold-standard science department.
The Science Learning Network awarded the school its Gold Science Mark for its outstanding practice within the school's science faculty.
In its application, South Bromsgrove High went through a rigorous process to show the department was reflective, evaluative and focused on improving outcomes for its pupils.
Di Payne, head of science at South, said: "We are very pleased to have achieved the Science Mark Gold Award and I’m incredibility proud of the whole science team whose enthusiasm, commitment and continual hard work have made this possible."
