SIX metres of hedgerow which had caught fire in Lickey End had to be extinguished by firefighters this morning (Friday, September 23).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bromsgrove station were alerted to and attended the blaze in Staple Flat at about 6.15am.
The fire, which was caused by the spread of flames from nearby rubbish, also affected undergrowth, but firefighters were able to put it out using a single hose reel.
