GRATEFUL Belbroughton mum Louise Morris was determined to give something back to the Garden Suite at Redditch's Alexandra Hospital after they helped her 34-year-old daughter Lucie battle back from cancer.

She has used her love of photography to launch a charity calendar of British wildlife.

Louise has already had to order a second print run after her first batch of calendars sold out within four days.

But Louise insisted: "Although I took all the pictures, this isn't about me. I just wanted to do something for the Garden Suite because the staff there have been so wonderful with Lucie.

"All the proceeds from the calendar will go to them - all I've taken out is the printing costs.

"Lucie was diagnosed with cancer last December. We had no idea, it was like a bolt out of the blue. I know the Alex gets so much bad publicity, but I cannot speak highly enough of them and I wanted to give them something back.

"I love photography, it has been my passion for the past 10 years, but I have to fit it around my work as an office manager."

Louise, who lives with Lucie, an administrator, at The Glebe, has already been distributing fliers around the village advertising her calendar and has taken quite a number of orders for the second print run.

She added: "People in Belbroughton have been so very kind and I've received so much support for the calendar, which I've loved doing. I want to try and raise as much money as possible for the Garden Suite.

"Lucie has been doing very well and has already returned back to work."
