THE Golden Cross pub in Bromsgrove High Street is staging a 17 day long Cider Festival next month serving 25 different ciders from July 8-24.

The ciders on offer include some award-winners, as well as a cider made with sloe berries, and others flavoured with mango, damson, strawberry, raspberry, and blackcurrant.

One of the ciders has been made by a visiting French cider maker from Normandy in collaboration with an English cider maker.

Ciders on offer include Snails Bank, Cockeyed Cider Company, La Ferme de Billy, Orchard Pig, Mr Whitehead’s, Tempted Cider, Purbeck Cider Company, Worley’s, Celtic Marches, Healeys, and Aston Manor.

Pub manager Cassie Harwood, said: "The Golden Cross Hotel will be offering a superb selection of ciders during the 17 day festival. We are confident that they will appeal to cider lovers and those enjoying cider for the first time."

Customers will be able to buy different ciders in one-third pint servings to try a range of three ciders for the same price as a pint, and tasting notes will be available on all the ciders on offer.
