A BROMSGROVE resident has thanked people for their support of a recent event raising money for a cancer charity.
Andrew Borley is a member of Worcestershire Myeloma Support Group that meets every two months helping those diagnosed with Myeloma, and their families.
Myeloma is a blood cancer where malignant blood cells attack the bone marrow in the body, and is incurable.
Andrew recently organised a two-and-a-half walk in Worcester, which proved a big success.
Andrew said: "In total £1,146 has been raised so far for Myeloma UK.
"I thank everyone who generously sponsored and contributed to the success of the recent walk undertaken by myself and other members of the Worcestershire Myeloma Support Group."
There is still time for anyone who wants to support the fundraising effort, by visiting justgiving.com/WorcesterMyeloma.
Anyone affected by Myeloma, and who wishes to join the Worcestershire Group, can call Andrew on 07787501935.
