CADBURY World is on the map for some swashbuckling fun this May bank holiday, as Pirate Weekend drops its anchor at the popular attraction.

Taking place from Saturday, April 30 to Monday, May 2, Cadbury World shores will be home to a range of pirate themed activities, leading visitors on a voyage that’s choc-full of fun.

A fancy dress competition for visitors will see the winner get their hands on some special chocolate loot, whilst many of the Cadbury World crew mates will also be dressing up in their best pirate gear for the occasion.

Over the course of the weekend, visitors can enjoy a special pirate themed entertainment show in the outdoor marquee before heading back to ship for some hearty grub in the Cadbury Café.

For a small charge, young buccaneers can make sure they look the part with pirate face painting available throughout the day.

Elsewhere in the attraction, the hunt for treasure guides you through the Aztec Jungle and the Journey to Europe zones before ending in the popular Chocolate Making zone, where you can claim a ‘gold’ chocolate prize.

After watching a chocolatier in action, you can continue through the remainder of Cadbury World’s 14 amazing zones to see the iconic drumming gorilla in Advertising Avenue and enjoy an interactive cinema experience in the 4D Chocolate Adventure zone.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “These playful pirates return for the bank holiday weekend each year, providing visitors with themed activities to make a day out at Cadbury World even more exciting.

“With the chance to get your hands on some special treasure, mingle with our pirate crew and get on board with some special entertainment too, it promises to be a fun weekend for the whole family.”

Pirate Weekend is just one of a number of exciting events coming up at Cadbury World, including the return of Character Weekend and The Basil Brush Show.
